Raging Marikina River During Typhoon Ondoy

At the height of Typhoon Ondoy, Marikina River had doubled in size and the immense water from the rains and dam had the river overflow to all the nearby areas.

This is one of the most disturbing and saddening videos captured during the storm. These people were literally in the middle of the river and staying alive only by standing on debris being swept by the river. The fast current was only a few feet before reaching the bridge. Unfortunately, not all of the people survived as the waters slammed into the lower part of the bridge.
